We Make London Pop up Boutique opening May 10th

What:  We Make London Pop up Boutique

When: Opens 10th May (with a launch party on the 16th), the shop will be open through May and June Open hours will be 11am- 6pm 7 days a week. 

Where: 53 Camden Lock Place, West Yard, London, NW1 8AF

This spring and summer, the scene is set for a special We Make London Pop-up Boutique.

On Friday 10th May the doors of Unit 53 at the iconic Camden Lock will open for shoppers to discover a specially designed shop full of handmade delights. With two full months of shopping visitors will be able to purchase beautifully made items from the UK’s most talented designer makers.

The shop at Camden Lock is part of an on-going partnership with the Camden Lock team where we have joined forces to bring back the handmade element to Camden Lock. It is such an iconic and alternative corner of London that our passion and support for designers teamed with Camden’s artistic heritage sets an exciting summer ahead and a refreshing treat for local and shoppers, tourists and lovers of British made products.

Spend a sunny summer’s day this May and June, browsing over 30 handpicked designers, selling a wide range of wares from eco-friendly handmade gifts ideas to jewellery, fashion, graphic / fine art, bath and body, toys and children's clothing. Designers will then be rotated after the first month creating a fresh new look for the second month.

In true We Make style, throughout the two months there will also be a host of different craft activities, talks and workshop, as well as opportunities to meet the designer makers themselves.

Designers will be rotated each month to create a unique shopping experience. 

The shop will be open on the 10th May. With an official launch party on the 16th May and a craft workshop day on the 17th May (see details below).

Launch Party: Join  us on the 16th May from 5-9pm for some drinks to celebrate the opening of the shop. You will get a chance to met some of the lovely designers taking part. 

Craft Workshops: We are working away on a series of workshops and talks in the shop, to kick of we have Sanna Panda and Friends and Craft Guerrilla running a lucky dip craft day on the 17th from 1pm -6pm.

You will be able to purchase lucky dip craft kits and create unique items here in the shop.

We Make London's Second Book

The Home Counties 

After the success of our first book Inspired:London - A Guide To Handmade in London we are working on our 2^nd book.
The Home Counties 

The book, as the title suggests, will cover all of the Home Counties:

·         Bedfordshire
·         Berkshire
·         Buckinghamshire
·         East Sussex
·         Essex
·         Hampshire
·         Hertfordshire
·         Kent
·         Oxfordshire
·         Surrey
·         West Sussex

The book will follow the same format as the Inspired:London book with more sections.
We will aim for a 200 page book again. This will all be confirmed once we know the exact number of designers taking part and the number of other sections added.

The print run will be 1000. With a second print run if these all sell quickly.
After the initial print run is sold out, we will then make the book available as an eBook that will be available for sale permanently regardless of any other books we produce. This will not be available, however, until the printed stock is sold.

The We Make London team are busy preparing for our 2nd week at Camden Lock Market.

As part of a ongoing partnership with Camden Lock we are very excited to be setting up a special Handmade market in the Middle Yard of the famous Camden Lock Market.
